Starfyn Education are looking for an energetic and flexible individual who join the Starfyn Family in a long-term, full-time role Teacher role!

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teacher to work within our clients’ schools, teaching students with a variety of needs. We work with SEN and SEMH specialist schools as well as resource units within mainstream settings. You will be expected to work from 8:15am to 4:30pm – 5 days a week. The schools are looking for someone who has experience in Teaching in a Special Needs School and is flexible and happy to support students across all ages when needed.

The Role: SEN Teacher
Days Required:  Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4pm (Full-time)
Pay: £120 - £220 Per Day
Location: Richmond
Employment Type: Agency (Either Temporary to Permanent or Ongoing Contract)
 
The Ideal Candidate Will

• Have experience of working with children and young adults with special educational needs and have the ability to communicate and empathise with children who have severe and complex Special Educational Needs.
• Knowledge of assessment and teaching strategies appropriate to children with Special Educational Needs
• Knowledge of emotion coaching, TEACCH approach, PACE and the theory behind zones of regulation.
• Pass an interview and an observed lesson with the students.

 
Main Duties

• Plan and Deliver lessons to meet the individual needs of the children – including 1-1 and small groups.
• Coach support staff to participate in delivery.
• Supervision of students who don’t work toward a typical mainstream timetable.
• Build & Maintain relationships with all pupils – acting as a role model/mentor.
