Starfyn Education are working with a specialist school in Uxbridge who are currently looking for a Secondary teacher to join their dedicated and caring school. The school believes in developing children socially, mentally, and morally as well as academically to give the children the best possible opportunities for their futures.

This is a full-time, permanent role and you will working 8:30am – 4:30pm to ensure that all pupils have the correct supervision and support whilst on school campus.  This school has fantastic support from the senior leadership team and specialist colleagues. The school caters for pupils from ages of 16 to 19 with a range of different needs, pupils having moderate learning difficulties to severe learning difficulties as well as pupils with Autism. You will be paid to scale.

The school provides a king and caring curriculum for it’s pupils. The curriculum focusses on developing key aspects of each child such as independency skills, social skills and communication as well as physical and creative development. Due to the schools location and outstanding facilities, they are able to offer activities such as a swimming pool and a large sensory room and soft play area.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated classroom practitioner to engage and inspire a class of learners with SEN through high expectations and eclectic and accessible teaching methods. The successful applicant will work in a Communication and Interaction Class that specialises in a variety of communication approaches, supporting children with complex communication and associated behavioural needs. We need practitioners who can build trusting relationships and provide security to vulnerable learners and who are able to communicate clearly, confidently and demonstrate resilience in the face of high-pressure circumstances.

An Ideal Candidate will have :
Qualified Teacher Status
Experience of teaching within special educational needs
Excellent communication and organisational skills and a practical approach to engaging pupils.
Be passionate about teaching children and young people with SEN
Ready for the challenge and excitement that a new provision brings!
Have ambition to take on additional responsibilities and leadership
Candidates will be required to submit an application form as well as supply references, also you will be required to own an up-to-date, or be willing to apply for a Starfyn Education DBS
